HWCLI offers its members its experience in advocacy, research, policy analysis, illumination of critical issues, outreach and education, service delivery and capacity building.
As a member of Health & Welfare Council of Long Island, you have access to:
Technical Assistance and Networking
- A network of key leaders of the health and human service sector who meet quarterly to discuss current trends and issues related to the sector
- FREE or discounted entrance to all Health & Welfare Council of Long Island breakfast and lunch seminars, budget briefing, presentations and conferences
- Discounted entrance to the Annual Meeting
Access to Information and Research
- Dissemination of information pertaining to YOUR organization or issue area. HWCLI’s email list serve reaches over 600 Long Island providers, advocates and elected officials
- Access to publications and reports
Website/IT
- Posting of YOUR organization’s upcoming events, program highlights, job opportunities and outreach information on HWCLI’s website
- Utilization of HWCLI’s Video Conferencing Center in Hempstead, with satellite locations in Bay Shore and Riverhead (at Family Service League). Video Centers allow for interactive island-wide trainings, presentations and meetings.
